Folk festivals have been celebrated in our small village of Roelofarendsveen since 1913. Several games and festivals are organized for young and old for over a week. Over the years, this festval has grown into one of the largest and most enjoyable parties in the region.

'Prinsjesdag' is an annual Dutch tradition on the third Tuesday of September. King Willem-Alexander delivers the speech from the throne in The Hague.

From early in the morning until late at night, young and old celebrate that Leiden was liberated from the Spaniards in 1574.
